1. Dynamic advertising placement. Frequency of advertising materials display can be set under an agreement with an advertiser.

2. There are options of social and demographic targeting setting: “gender”, “gender and age”, “gender, age and income level”.

3. An advertiser shall provide advertising materials (banners) of all formats listed in Table 1 for the purpose of service provision. Banners are displayed at the positions listed in Table 1 randomly. Yandex shall not guarantee that advertising materials will be displayed at all the positions listed in Table 1.

4. The following targeting options can be set:

  • geographical targeting;

  • targeting at audience interests under an advertiser’s request (“audience interests” setting). The possibility of “audience interests” setting under an advertiser’s option is not guaranteed and shall be determined by Yandex considering the size of target audience for full service provision.

5. Minimal order – 50,000 rub. (excluding VAT).

6. Discounts and season indexes shall not be applied for the service cost calculation.

7. The display of advertising materials on websites of Yandex Advertising Network partners can be switched off.

* Light TV viewers – a provision of advertising material display where the advertising is displayed to users of a target group with certain social and demographical parameters, according to Yandex data (the audience of users not watching TV much). The target group is identified by Yandex based on the analysis of user Internet behavior with use of Crypta technology.

  2. The minimum order value (unless agreed otherwise) is:

  3. CPM is the cost per 1000 impressions.

  5. Any marking that reads ‘1 day’ means that impression of the advertising material starts at 00:00 and finishes in 24 hours or when the number of impressions of the advertisements reaches the indicator set out in the corresponding order, depending on which of the mentioned events occurs later.

  6. Any marking that reads ‘1 week’ (‘2 weeks’, ‘4 weeks’) means that the advertising material is shown not earlier that at 00:00 on Monday until not later than at 24:00 the following Sunday (or 2 or 4 weeks later, respectively) or when the number of impressions of the advertisements reaches the indicator set out in the corresponding order, depending on which of the mentioned events occurs later. Only full-week packages are available.

  7. For the purposes of geotargeting definition, the term ‘Russian regions’ shall refer to constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as to the cities of the Russian Federation to which an opportunity of geotargeting setting is provided. If Moscow is specified as the geotargeting region for media advertising, impressions of media ads are also offered for Moscow Region. If St. Petersburg is specified as the geotargeting region for media advertising, impressions are also offered for Leningrad Region.

  8. If the conditions of advertising material placement do not explicitly specify that advertising materials are displayed on mobile devices, these materials might not be shown on placement locations/services adapted for mobile services.

  9. If the procedure for advertising service cost calculation specifies that several rates shall apply, these rates shall apply one by one (i.e., multiplied together).

  10. Any suspended order for media advertising may be only resumed when the seasonal rate applicable thereto for the purposes of service cost calculation is in effect.

    Any unspent amount of the order placement stopped one week or more before any changes in the seasonal rate occurred, may be returned to the advertiser upon its request, unless the advertiser and Yandex enter into different agreement.

  11. In case the price for media advertising services according to the services agreements is expressed in the other than rubles currency (EUR, USD, CHF), this price shall be converted in the following way:

    • 1 USD – 31 rubles

    • 1EUR – 40 rubles

    • 1 CHF – 34 rubles

  12. Media ads with limited geotargeting (Ukraine or Kazakhstan) For the purposes of media advertising with limited geotargeting (Ukraine or Kazakhstan), the size and some other conditions relating to media ads available online on the following free-access pages shall apply:

    1) http://advertising.yandex.ua/price.xml - conditions for media advertising with geotargeting limited to Ukraine;

    http://advertising.yandex.ua/price/discount/media.xml - discount conditions for media ads with geotargeting limited to Ukraine;

    2) http://advertising.yandex.kz/price.xml - conditions for media advertising with geotargeting limited to Kazakhstan;

    http://advertising.yandex.kz/price/discount/media.xml - discount conditions for media ads with geotargeting limited to Kazakhstan.

    In this case, the Sales Unit shall specify for the advertiser the cost of media advertising with geotargeting limited to Ukraine or Kazakhstan (including the minimum order value, CPM, cost of packages, and value-based scope of services, for the purposes of discount threshold calculation) expressed in the currency of the contract (if different from the one specified on the above pages) when the advertising is being ordered or booked. An appropriate invoice / order shall specify the cost of ordered media ad services with geotargeting is limited to Ukraine or Kazakhstan expressed in the currency of the contract.

  13. If the conditions of advertising material placement do not explicitly specify otherwise, geotargeting shall apply to the whole territory of the Russian Federation.

  14. The services of media advertising placement shall be rendered in compliance with the terms and conditions set out in the document ‘Procedure for placement of media advertising materials on Yandex internet media places’ published in the public domain in the Internet at: http://legal.yandex.com/media_procedure_ch/.

When preparing ad materials we recommend you follow the guidelines listed in the document entitled “General Terms and Conditions. Advertising Requirements” Otherwise your ad may be rejected.

All ad materials conforming to laws and Yandex Advertising Material Requirements must be submitted no later than 2 working days before the launch of the campaign, unless stated otherwise.
